How much does an eye exam cost?
Eye exams for adults 20-64 years of age are $95 and we're happy to direct-bill your insurance plan (including Sun Life) whenever possible. For children and youth 19 and under, OHIP covers one eye exam every 12 months at no cost with a valid health card. Seniors 65 and up, as well as patients with eye-related medical conditions such as diabetes or glaucoma, are covered under their Health Card for one eye exam every 18 months.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept most major vision insurance plans-including Sun Life! contact us to verify if we can direct bill to your specific plan.
How often should I get an eye exam?
Most adults should have an eye exam every one to two years. It's especially important to keep up with exams in your 40s, when close-up vision often begins to change. Children, seniors, and those with existing eye conditions may need more frequent exams to monitor vision changes and maintain eye health.
What are your hours?
We're open Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and closed on Sundays.
How long will it take to get my new glasses?
Most standard prescriptions are ready within 7–10 business days. More specialized lenses, such as progressives, typically take 10–14 business days to ensure precise customization and optimal vision.
Do you offer contact lens trials?
Yes, we provide trial contact lens fitting for $38 which is creditable towards your purchase. This way you can test comfort and fit before committing to a full supply.

Everybody has glasses and frames but you cannot match the customer service given by Sue and her team at Illusion. Yes, they also have a wonderful selection of frames with all the brand names and great prices. Also, the speed with which they honor claims, and set you up with the perfect frame really makes you feel special, but not as much as when they keep telling you how good you look!
