So Many Choices... But the Health of Your Eyes Isn't One of Them
Colored contact lenses let you change your eye color as easily as your outfit—whether you want a bold pop, a subtle shift, or something totally transformative. From rich browns and soft greys to electric blues and vivid greens, they're a fun, fashionable way to refresh your look. And yes, they come in prescription too.
But colored contacts are medical devices that need proper fitting to protect your eyes. You'll need a valid prescription from your optometrist to confirm your eyes are healthy and lens-ready. Poorly fitted lenses can cause irritation or infection. At Illusion Eyewear & Eyecare, our experts ensure every pair fits comfortably, looks beautiful, and keeps your eyes safe.

Lens insertion and removal
Inserting and removing contact lenses takes patience and practice. With consistent technique, it quickly becomes second nature. Good hygiene and gentle handling are key.
Preparation
Wash hands thoroughly with mild soap and dry with a lint-free towel. Set up a well-lit workspace with a mirror. Keep your lens case and fresh solution within easy reach.
Inspecting the lens
Place the lens on your fingertip with edges facing up. It should form a bowl shape—if edges flare out, it's inside out. Check for chips, tears, or debris.
Inserting the Lens
Hold your upper lid open with one hand and pull down your lower lid with the other. Place the lens on your eye, release lids, and blink gently to settle it.
Removal
With clean, dry hands, hold your upper lid open and pull down your lower lid. Gently pinch the lens with your thumb and index finger. Place it directly into fresh solution.
Lens Care
Clean lenses after removal (unless daily disposables). Rub gently with solution, rinse, and store in a clean case with fresh solution. Replace your case regularly.
